Arely calls herself a multimedia creator. Art, for her, is connection: she hopes it inspires exploration and openness, and most of what she makes is abstract and built from feeling rather than a plan.

The September wall mixes large abstract canvases, a painting of a robed figure ringed in roses and green flame, a black and white Día de Muertos mural panel, and Love Blind (Amor Ciego), a pink faux-fur eyepatch piece that plays on the saying "blinded by love." Her framed artist statement and a bilingual card for the piece hang beside the work.
